A bunch of classic Buick buffs could leave ruts in some classy Bloomfield Hills turf come July.
The overseers of the Cranbrook Educational Community announced this week that Buick Motor Division would be chief sponsor for the first Concours d'Elegance at Cranbrook.
The July 27 show is expected to attract about 100 classic cars, many of them Buicks owned by collectors making a mad dash down I-75 from Flint the morning of the show.
They'll be among 2,000 collectors celebrating the cars' 100th year at the historic center of Buick manufacturing in Flint on July 23-27, said Lawrence Gustin, assistant public relations director at Buick Motor Division.
